Today, multiple sites are protesting the Protect IP Act. As many of you may already know, this is the act that could easily jeopardize freedom of speech on the internet, along with the other infamous SOPA Act. Many sites, notable ones, which are protesting this, are non-other than Google, Wikipedia, Craigslist, plus many more. Google has censored its logo and when clicked on it will take you to a page that explains this action. Wikipedia is censoring every single page in its database, if you were to research any subject using Wikipedia today, the page you will be brought to will be redirected to a page that says this - "Imagine a World Without Free Knowledge For over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that could fatally damage the free and open Internet. For 24 hours, to raise awareness, we are blacking out Wikipedia.." As you can see, even some of the biggest known sites are demonstrating a strong resistance to this bill. We at Apex-artists support stopping these bills as well. If you are interesting in participating in stopping these bills as well. Below are a few online petitions that you can sign to present your voice to the US Congress.
